Franchise Fees

City franchise fees help fund the maintenance of city streets at necessary levels. Residential property owners pay the fee as part of their monthly gas and electric bills. The revenue generated from these fees is placed in a dedicated fund and used solely for expenditures related to the maintenance of city streets. For more information, please read the Franchise Fee Fact Sheet, call the Public Works Department at 952-447-9896 or email pwadmin@priorlakemn.gov.
