Requests must be made 48 hours in advance. To request a parking variance call the Scott County Dispatch Center's non-emergency number at (952) 445-1411. Relay to the dispatcher you are requesting a parking variance in the City of Prior Lake. After taking your information, an officer with the Prior Lake Police Department will be in contact with you to follow-up on your request.
Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your name, date of birth, and contact information
- The starting date and how long the variance is needed
- How many vehicles and description of them. (ie: make/model, color, and license plate)
Be aware that approved parking variances will be void upon any significant snowfall per city code 901.207. Variances may also be denied during any snow accumulation.
Winter Parking Reminder:
In order to expedite the prompt and efficient removal of snow from city streets, no person may park any vehicle on any street within the city between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am from November 1st until March 31st of the following year.
