Pet Regulations

The City of Prior Lake recognizes that pets are important to many of our families. The health, safety and welfare of our residents and pets requires the City to regulate the ownership and keeping of dogs and cats. The City of Prior Lake does not require residents to register their pets, however, you cannot maintain more than three pets, dogs or cats, or a combination thereof, in a dwelling unit.

For more information regarding pet regulations and dangerous dogs, check out Prior Lake City Code section 801
